I feel kinda silly for asking a question that ended up having a ludicrously simple answer. When I unplugged it, the controls for my other games reverted to mouse and keyboard. When the game finished loading my controller was recognized automatically. I got my controller recently, plugged it into the back of my tower before I started Shadow of Mordor. Can someone please post a step-by-step on how to do this?ĮDITED FOR CLARITY: I guess a simpler way of asking would be: Is it any more complicated than plugging the controller in when I want to use it if it works, use it, then unplug it when I'm done and then windows will automatically go back to mouse/keyboard? I want to test the controller (I don't have Shadow of Mordor yet, gonna try to get in steam summer sale) with Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky to make sure it works, but I want to be able to change back to mouse/keyboard when I'm done. These are the steps you need for the X360ce Settings for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and you can apply them to other games.I'm going to buy a xbox one controller (used) that i plan to use for Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor because I'm running windows 10 and the xbox 360 controllers I've found only support windows 7 and 8. Close it and copy the X360ce file along with the other dll file created to the “file location” of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor once it is done saving.Arrange them if they are not working properly using the controller option.Click all the buttons to confirm if they are working properly and when doing that look at the display on the screen.Click the “Auto” icon to fill up the controller in order to prepare it for settings.Click “Search automatically for settings”.Clicking the create icon when it appears along the dialogue box create a Xinput 1_3.dll.Connect your gamepad controller to your PC to begin the settings.Click the download icon to start downloading the emulator.
